THE PRACTICE BRIEF / CREDENTIALING

Keep provider enrollment work organized.

Create one working inventory.

List the documents and information requested for each application. Track the responsible person, current status and where the approved record is held. Avoid unnecessary copies of sensitive documents across email threads.

Track dates with context.

Record the application date, the last confirmed status and the next action. Keep document expiry dates distinct from application follow-up dates so the team knows which action is required.

Make missing information visible.

Use clear statuses such as awaiting provider, under internal review, submitted and awaiting response. Document the reason a task cannot move forward and who can resolve it.

Confirm the result.

Retain the authoritative confirmation when an application decision is received. Do not equate a submitted application with completed enrollment. Confirm the relevant details with the practice before updating downstream workflows.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE
